In the ‘80s…
RadioActive first opened its doors in 1986 – the goal back then was to provide state-of-the-art audio for car installations. Remember, back then, the “stock” car radios were pretty pathetic and the speakers were weak, at best. So to get quality sound, you had to rip it all out and start from scratch. When we got started, the ultimate setup was to use Alpine components (remember their Lamborghini Countach?).

Ever since our modest beginnings, many of the finest rides in the Coachella Valley are still listening to audio supplied by RadioActive.

The New Millennium…
As the times changed, so did RadioActive. Whereas we started in automotive audio, we soon branched out into home audio. Back then – just seven years ago – a “state-of-the-art” home audio set-up was one that had remote controlled speakers throughout the home.

This was also the dawn of the first home surround-sound systems, which RadioActive pioneered in the Coachella Valley. At that time, we also started diversifying into other areas like home security, home automation and home networks.

2004 to Today…
It didn’t take us long to outgrow our original facility… but it did take us a while to build our new one – that’s because it is a retail environment like no other you’ve ever seen. When you walk in, it’s like walking into a luxurious resort home… that just happens to look like a commercial building on the outside.

Inside, we showcase our talents as each area of expertise is demonstrated so you can “experience” this technology first hand. Case in point, thinking of building a home theatre? Come sit in ours – it will give you an idea of what can be accomplished and how you can do it in your home. Always wanted a TV in the bathroom? We’ve got that.
